Air Fried Wings
Normally ‘Wings Again” wouldn’t merit a post. But tonight I went to make my wings and…I didn’t have any Frank’s Wing Sauce.
I’m not sure how that happened, our team logician (Chase) must have miscounted the bottles in the pantry.
But, I really wanted wings tonight. I bought the wings. And there’s not a lot you can do with wings…than make wings.
So I made a sauce out of what I had on hand. And guess what. It was FAR superior to Franks…the de facto BEST sauce.
Ingredients:
Half a small bottle of Cholula hot sauce (my favorite)
Three tbs of mustard
One tbs minced garlic
Two tbs of ketchup
Dusting of red pepper
Dusting of onion powder
Tsp of black pepper.
Two tablespoons of Kerrygold Irish Butter
Six big wings that make 12 when broken broken down.
Air fry wings 15 minutes at 370°, turn, air fry 10 more minutes and let rest 5 minutes. You want them hot, but not dry.
Melt the butter and put in all the other ingredients over medium low heat, turn off heat when flavors are melding. You can leave off the ketchup, but I did find it gave it some sweetness, much like a Korean hot wing.
Toss cooked, crispy wings into the skillet to toss for a minute. Not too long, you want your wings crisp.
Serve with a salad, I dusted a Spring Crunch with some Mexican cheese and an organic ranch dressing.
Pairs nice with any beer.
